This was one of the most profound experiences of my life. But what stayed with me was not the intensity. It was what happened when the usual sense of self disappeared for a moment — and what I had to learn afterward about surrender, connection, and practice.
0:01 This is probably the most profound experience I have ever had, and even now it is difficult to explain because words only point toward something that had to be felt directly.
0:09 Before you experience something like this, it can sound like a story. Then something happens that changes the frame you were using to understand yourself.
0:47 For me, the turning point was surrender. The more completely control dropped away, the less the normal sense of ‘me’ seemed to be there.
1:01 What I experienced felt like pure white intelligent light, pure consciousness, something beyond the normal sense of separation.
1:24 There was no normal boundary between me and everything else. The experience felt completely non-dual — less like I was connected to something and more like there was only one thing happening.
1:38 The feeling was peace, bliss, and a sense of home that was difficult to compare with anything in normal waking life.
1:52 It felt like dropping beneath conditioning, protection, identity, and all the layers that had built up over time.
2:14 The experience felt like those layers were being stripped away until there was nothing left to hide behind.
2:28 That changed the direction of my path. Not because I suddenly had every answer, but because I could not relate to myself in exactly the same way afterward.
2:55 I describe 5-MeO-DMT as an entheogenic experience because, for me, it was less about belief and more about a direct encounter with what I understood as God, source, or consciousness.
3:39 What mattered most was what the experience showed me underneath the ego and the usual story I was carrying about myself.
4:19 I do not think this is for everyone. A powerful experience deserves respect, preparation, and a real understanding that you cannot control every part of what may come up.
5:05 The biggest mistake would be thinking the medicine itself is the entire path. I still had to build practices that helped me integrate what I experienced.
5:33 Breath, meditation, awareness, and stillness became ways of reconnecting with some of the same qualities without trying to recreate the original state.
5:55 The deeper lesson for me was connection — one consciousness, one field, love, and the feeling that separation was not as absolute as I had believed.
6:16 You do not need the medicine to keep returning to what the experience pointed toward. The doorway and the daily practice are not the same thing.
6:24 Eventually you realize you are the medicine. This was just the reminder.
6:32 After that, the path is how you live.

I can tell you what I felt. I can tell you that the normal sense of self disappeared, that separation seemed to fall away, and that what was left felt like pure consciousness, love, and something I can only describe as home.
But I also think this is where words reach their limit. My experience is not a definition of reality and it is not a promise of what someone else will experience. What mattered for me was that it changed how I saw the ego, identity, connection, and the work that still had to happen when I came back.

What mattered for me was that it changed how I saw the ego, identity, connection, and the work that still had to happen when I came back.
The more control dropped away, the less the experience felt like something I was doing. For me, surrender was the doorway into everything that followed.
For a moment, the normal identity I carried was simply not there in the same way. That made me question how much of ‘me’ was conditioning, protection, habit, and story.
Instead of thinking about unity as an idea, I experienced something that felt completely without separation. I can only speak to what that felt like for me.
Powerful altered states are not casual experiences and they are not for everyone. Curiosity is not the same thing as readiness, and another person’s experience is not a reason to force one of your own.
Coming back did not mean the work was finished. Breath, meditation, awareness, stillness, and honest changes in my life were what helped me begin integrating what the experience opened.
Eventually the deeper question became whether I could reconnect with presence, love, and awareness through the way I lived — not whether I could reproduce one extraordinary experience.
You do not have to share Kurt’s interpretation to use the questions. Bring them back to your own direct experience.
What parts of your identity feel deeply true, and what parts may simply be roles, habits, protection, or stories you have carried for a long time?
Where in your life do you notice the strongest need to control what happens next?
Have you ever had a moment — through nature, meditation, love, grief, music, or anything else — where the usual sense of separation softened?
Where in your life do you notice the strongest need to control what happens next?d I like to feel?
What practice could help you return to presence or connection without needing to chase a particular state?
Try This: Sit quietly for a few minutes and forget about trying to create an extraordinary state. Notice what is here when you stop adding more. Your breath. Your body. The room. The fact that you are aware. Start there.

Different medicines, different ways in — each catalyst has its own effects, its own intelligence, and its own way of working with you.
See what is normally hidden — these experiences can bring patterns, emotions, and parts of yourself to the surface that may have been sitting underneath everything else.
Reconnect with something deeper — some expanded states can bring you closer to what feels underneath the ego, conditioning, and the identity you have built.
The experience can open the door — but you are still the one who has to walk through it. What is revealed only matters if you work with it afterward.
Integration is what makes the difference — bring what you saw back into your actual life. These tools can support your path, but they do not define it.
These are powerful tools, and they deserve respect. They are not for everyone. Take your time. Learn. Feel into it. Start slowly. And decide what actually feels right for you.
This branch explores psychedelics, entheogens, and other catalysts that can open deeper states of consciousness, reveal hidden patterns, and reconnect you with parts of yourself that are harder to access in everyday life. But the experience is only the beginning. What matters is what you do with what is revealed.
If you want to keep going, these teachings explore how to integrate a profound experience, what reactivations can feel like afterward, why insight can fade without practice, and how catalysts can interrupt the old patterns you thought were fixed.
The experience may show you what is possible. This teaching focuses on what happens afterward — reflection, small conscious shifts, and the practices that help you bring something real back into your life.
Sometimes part of an expanded state seems to return later. This teaching looks at presence, fear, grounding, and how I learned to meet those moments without immediately fighting them.
A profound state can still fade. This teaching goes deeper into why insight alone is not the change and why integration is what helps an experience become part of how you live.
Zoom out from one medicine and look at the larger role of a catalyst — interrupting the familiar groove long enough to see yourself and your patterns from somewhere new.

The experience can open something. But the deeper path is what you practice afterward — how you breathe, how present you are, what you let go of, what you choose, and how you live when there is no extraordinary state to carry you.
